ExcluDoor® Locking Options for LPS 1175 Certified Security Doors
The ExcluDoor range of steel security doors are available with a variety of locking options
Doors used for panic escape would have a panic bar and would be used in public areas i.e. shops or shopping centres. Double doors would have to have panic bars on both leaves to allow unimpeded escape. Generally, doors used for panic escape cannot be opened from the outside but we can offer this facility if required. If in doubt about the use of a panic escape door consult your fire officer. For Emergency escape, the doors should allow egress but not necessarily with a panic bar. Emergency escapes are used in factories or offices and warehouses where there is limited occupancy. It is usually permissible on double doors for the passive leaf to have barrel bolts rather than a panic bar. If in doubt consult your fire officer. Doors with access control are opened electrically usually using an internal solenoid. This in turn is triggered using a swipe card, number pad or other entry device. The doors can usually be overridden with a key. Access control also allows the doors to be unlocked remotely.

A key driven lock is used where a door needs to be unlocked using a key. Some doors need to be re-locked once closed although some Sunray doors have the facility whereby they can be unlocked with a key but when the door is closed, it is returned to its locked (and certified) state "Slam it and it's locked".
